The Essence of Kapalua

Kapalua Living  ·  Our Story

The most beautiful things tend to find us — along the way, or on a beach.

Found along the way, or on a beach

We came to the Philippines for love, falling for the men we’d marry, and for island life itself.

We became friends here, combing beautiful beaches for corals and shells, and slowly fell for the quiet beauty of the crafts we discovered along the way. We made first for ourselves — the Marina, the Sunrise — then for our friends, and Kapalua Living grew from there.

Most things don’t make the cut; the few that do become Kapalua.

Collectors first

Today, Kapalua Living is a curated limited collection of accessories, home objects, and pieces for beautiful living. We work closely with the makers we partner with, and choose only what earns its place.

Each piece is made by hand, slowly — many take weeks, some take months — and only ever in a handful, usually five to ten of a kind. No two are quite alike, and once a piece finds its home, it rarely returns.

We hold deep respect for the artisans behind every piece, whose skills have been passed down through generations. Their time deserves to be honoured fairly.

Each piece carries the relaxed elegance and natural beauty of the Philippines, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality — an invitation to create your own sanctuary at home.

We love to dress up for the evening, clutch in hand. We love to dress a table. We believe the things that matter most feel collected rather than bought — treasures to be used, loved, and passed on.
