A clutch set from two red lion's paw shells, with a lion's paw inlay trim. The kind of thing that feels found rather than made, all mermaid shimmer and the deep colour of the Sulu Sea.
Each shell is found, then slowly revealed. It is soaked until the sea loosens its hold and the debris falls away, then polished by hand until its colour deepens.
Made by hand by artisans in the Philippines, whose skills have been passed down through generations and whose time is honoured fairly. She is heavier than the others, in the nature of the shell.
