Named for first light over the Sulu Sea, the Sunrise is set in pale shell that warms to soft gold as it turns in the light. Its fan shape is quiet and a little old fashioned, in the loveliest way.
Each shell is found, then slowly revealed. It is soaked until the sea loosens its hold and the debris falls away, then polished by hand until the lustre comes through. No two are ever the same.
Made over nine weeks by Filipino artisans, whose skills have been passed down through generations and whose time is honoured fairly. A pale shell and gold clasp make it a quiet keepsake for a bride, long after the day.
